So, masses, my holiday is almost at an end, but here are some pictures which you have so dearly been awaiting. Not much has been going on (that would be interesting to the general public anyway) except for holiday/family stuff. I could put up a video of me and my brother playing ping-pong for about two hours straight, but nothing actually happens except for me winning like a boss. Also, it was my great-grandmother's 91st birthday yesterday, which was an awesome occasion for me to brush up on piano skills and eat my heart out from a bucket of KFC! Okes got well warmed up...
I've also spent a lot of time hanging about on Dakka, checking out cool paintjobs such as this Fire Prism (check out the paintjob. This model is 15 or so cm long!), and Lord of Tzeentch. Damn, I want to paint like that! Check out the rest of the Gallery, there are some really really insane 'jobs there. As soon as I get back and have a decent army list, I WILL start painting!
Apologies to everyone who hasn't been having a holiday, and was eagerly awaiting more posts. Didn't really happen, I was kinda busy. I miss Cape Town, and my friends, and my schoolz, and even (dare I say) the girls...
#slap. So, here are some snapshots from the holidays. They're not amazing, but I couldn't find very many which my brother actually took keeping in mind that they were going on my blog. Most of the photos I have are of random, still-life objects close up.
Me looking boss on a route. We didn't bring any 'draws, okay, Guy!
Luk how hooj that dog iz! This is Theodore. He belongs to my uncle and is very very hairy. He is also the size of a car.
There used to be a castle here. Back in like the 16th century... Climbing with a backdrop!
Other than this exploring we've been doing, I've been riding bikes, seeing yet more relatives, eating good food, you know, the usual things. I also listened to "The Final Countdown" about 200 times while writing this, hence the title of the post. I've almost cracked it on piano, the chords are just giving me trouble on the left hand. I'll get Joe to help me, then I will finally be able to play a song that everyone knows. Other than Fur Elise ;)
Talking of songs and bands, Ross has a badn, this is their Facebook page. Hopefully our band (that's you, The Definitive Platypus Compedium!) can get off the ground as soon as Guy agrees the name is awesome. And we learn more than one song :D
Only three days left of this holiday, then it's time for Pops madness! To quote Mr Wrensch, "You have no life during Pops time". I think he's right. I don't think that whoever drew up the reherseal schedule took classes into account, let along basic human needs like eating or sleeping!
I don't know. Maybe Dubai (again) will be fun. At least I'll get to chow some Burger King again!
that tank is fracking nuts
