Pops 2 (and bunking school)

Actually, not entirely. Just the first two periods, but still, it's a good feeling to be able to wake up at 10.

Wow, Pops was freaking INSANE!!! Even more insane than the night before!!! Every piece was perfect (AFAIK), save one or two of the tiniest errors! Okes were sounding crisp and/or wallow-y, depending on the situation required! Andrew managed to make people laugh at things that weren't really funny! Etc.

It was by far the greatest musical experience I've ever had... I don't think I'll ever play in something of this magnitude ever again, but I know I won't turn an opportunity like this down. EVER! In fact, as soon as Alex leaves, I'm kinda going to be 1st Percussion for the Orchestra and Other Stuff, which I guess means more responsibility! I will take it with both hands :)

I had to stay and pack up percussion afterwards, so I didn't get a bus back home. I helped the AV crew pack up a bit, and then got home at literally 00:30. Ate lots and lots of fruit salad, and then crashed. I woke up at 10 today, and slowly got ready for school. Ended up walking in to my music lesson, where we were doing WORK!! But it was a really chilled period and we drank tea and coffee and actually just hung around instead of doing work. Yays! I can't wait 'til I'm in matric and delegate newboys to follow me around with a kettle and tea-making necessities!

Life is so great! I had a Big Think about culture, effort, appreciation, and success yesterday, got pretty bleak, and then cheered up this morning because MUSIC STUDENTS ARE AWESOME!!!! Joe, man, you must get over your depression, coz it's silly.

So, now I have another full afternoon/evening, spent the past like hour practicing piano, and now I have GIN and Philosophy Society... Which we haven't had in a long time, I'm actually glad to get back into the swing of things. Which means back to work, back to piano slavery, back to freaking awesomeness and running around all day having no time to do things. ie, back to NORMAL!
